Gregory J. Pausewang, age 54, of Blue Earth, died Monday, November 26, 2012, at United Hospital, Blue Earth. Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth, with Father Leo Koppala officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from one hour prior to services at the church. Patton Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Blue Earth is assisting the family with the arrangements. Web tributes may be left at Greg was born April 6, 1958, in Wells, MN, the son of Joseph M. and Helen E. (Ihle) Pausewang. He was raised in Winona and Blue Earth where he was a 1976 graduate of Blue Earth High School. He earned an Associate's Degree in Architectural Drafting from Jackson Vocational & Technical College in 1978. He worked for Nordaas American Homes for a short time before starting to work for TAFCO in 1979. He was a painter for Tafco for several years and later was in the shipping department before ending his employment there in 2002. Greg loved model building and being part of the Fairmont Model Train Club. He enjoyed scouting, having become an eagle scout, and he was a longtime scout leader, where he directed camping events for many years. Greg was a lifetime member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church where he was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was bingo caller for many years. Greg is survived by his wife, Barbara Pausewang of Blue Earth, his daughter, April (Ryan) Lind of Blue Earth, his brother, Patrick Pausewang of Fairmont, his sister, Dianne (Kevin) Jorgenson of Austin, his grandchildren, Sara & Carson Hernandez and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
